The combination of chocolate and mint in candy is legendary and we have our faithful followers. You can now turn your favorite flavor into a fabulous gourmet hot chocolate drink as well. All you need is to use a mint liqueur for the flavoring. You might even add crushed peppermint candy to some whipped cream for serving guests. This recipe makes 3-4 servings.
Ingredients:
2 ounces dark chocolate chips
2 cups milk
½ cup sugar
2 tbsp. mint flavoring
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
Preparation:
Melt dark chocolate chips in a double boiler or microwave, and set aside. Slowly pour in milk and whisk rapidly. Add sugar, mint flavoring, and vanilla extract. Serve in mugs with a dollop of whipped cream. Enjoy!
